I was under the impression that the EO.WebBrowser control handled auto-scaling for high DPI systems automatically. I am finding on a surface pro 3 that it is not scaling quite like I would expect. Did I miss a property, or is this something that needs to be fixed in the control itself? I can upload screen shots if necessary, but don't see where to do that here

Hi,

You can email us a screenshot and we will take a look and see what we can find. See here for instructions:

I will prepare a test project and send it along with the two screen shots, but before I do would setting the ZoomFactor property to 1 be the cause? Would removing that allow it to auto-scale?

Tested, didn't seem to make a difference. Test project submitted

Hi,

We have looked into this issue and it appears that the problem is due to the fact that we use a slightly old version of the Chrome engine. The current version of EO.WebBrowser uses Chrome V33. However Chrome only officially support high DPI scaling since V37 later last year. We are in the process of updating our code base to the current version and once that is done this issue should be resolved.

Thanks!

Any update on this? When is the chrome version going to be updated to accommodate the scaling issue?

Hi,

We are currently testing an internal build based on Chrome V41. We have not verified this issue on this build yet though, hopefully it will resolve the issue.

Thanks!

Hi,

I just stumbled upon the same issue. I'm using the latest build and it still doesn't scale correctly on the 192DPI screen. Should that work already? Is there anything I have to do? Btw, my app is marked as "Dpi Aware".

Thank you,
Stefan

Assuming you meant that you sent a new build through private message to Stefan Koell, I would appreciate it if you could send me the same build so that we can both test the resolution of the issue

Hi Tony,

That build to Stefan did not work. We are still trying to reproduce this problem here. We may need your or Stefan's help in reproducing this issue. We will reply here again if we have or need any additional information.

Thanks!

I wanted to follow up and see how this issue was coming along? I noticed in version 15.2.10 that the problem still exists. I haven't tried version 15.2.28.6, but it wouldn't matter as I need to revert back to 15.1.81.8 for other reasons

I wanted to add to this topic. This is still an issue in 15.4.5.0, I'm confident this can be reproduced on a Microsoft Surface book, I've been able to reproduce the problem on 3 Surface book devices, however I have not tested it in an isolated test application.

This is limited specifically to the Select tag, I've found no other instances of this being an issue.

Is any work being done on this issue?

I'm not sure if this is the exact same issue or not, but on the tab browser sample if I head to the most plain vanilla select box I can find (http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_select) and click on the select box, I get black rectangles off center that should contain the options. This is on a 3000 x 2000 laptop display, win 10, with a 175% scale factor on settings. DPI issue?

Hi,

Please download the latest build (2016.0.17.0) from our download page. This build should fix this issue.

Thanks!

Just grabbed the latest (16.0.24.0), while the drop down boxes are indeed fixed scroll bars are partially cut off. Just navigate to google.com, the browser scroll bars are cut in half (both top and side ones). Same settings: 3000 x 2000 laptop display, win 10, with a 175% scale factor.

This has fixed all the rendering issues in browser, however the right click context menu does not appear where the mouse is actually located. Suspect this is another windows scaling issue.
