Hello!

Sorry in advance if this has already been answered; searched but couldn't find anything.

I am trying to use the ASP:RequiredFieldValidator control to verify that something (anything) has been entered in an EO:Editor control on my page but it doesn't seem to "see" it (nor does it give me an error as if the control does not exist).

Am I doing something wrong, or are the two controls incompatible?

Thanks for your help! Angel

Okay -- so different question. I finally had the sense to view the HTML and saw that an "empty" design view contains an HTML paragraph with a space (<p>&nbsp;</p>). Can the editor be set to be truly empty/null?

Hi,

We will provide you a new build that will work with RequiredFieldValidator. You will not be able to set the editor content as truely empty because it always need something to position the cursor, but the new build will automatically treat the editor as blank as long as it is "visually" blanks, such as "<p>&nbsp;</p>". We will reply again as long as the new build is ready.

Thanks!

Hi,

The current version should work fine with RequiredFieldValidator.

Thanks
