EO.Web Controls 8.0 is yet another exciting new release for EO.Web Controls.
New ControlsAs always, this release continues to expand the control collection. The following new controls are added in this release:
1.
Slide. Slide control offers slide show like UI that is similar to Windows explorer "filmstrip" view;
2.
Flyout. Flyout control offers a template based fly-out popup for any standard buttons;
3.
EditableLabel. EditableLabel control offers the ability to edit static text by clicking it;
4.
Poll and Survey. See below.
Poll and SurveyPoll and Survey controls are front end ASP.NET wrapper controls for
Essential Poll --- a comprehensive poll and survey service provided by Essential Objects, Inc. Both the service and the controls are free to use. Try it out today!
Framework SupportThis release supports ASP.NET 1.1, 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0. It also supports Visual Studio 2010. Unlike the previous version, samples are no longer available in ASP.NET 1.1; however the runtime DLL still supports ASP.NET 1.1.
Improvements and Bug Fixes This build also contain the following improvements and bug fixes:
1. Fixed Editor not returning absolute path problem when SaveRelativePath is set to false;
2. Fixed Grid cell not formatting cell text correctly on Google Chrome problem;
3. Fixed Splitter control sometimes displays child panels at the wrong position on Google Chrome problem;
4. Fixed scrolling TabStrip not working on Google Chrome problem;
5. Fixed MaskedEdit not correctly select the whole content when Hint property is set problem;
6. Fixed MaskedEdit can only select the first segment on Safari and Google Chrome issues;
7. Fixed ColorPicker not correctly update target control when target control is not a textbox issue;
8. Fixed TreeView cannot correctly save and restore scroll position during postback on IE 7 issue;
9. Fixed Editor cannot correctly save and restore ToolBarSet on Safari issue;
10. Added support for custom toolbar buttons for FileExplorer control;
11. Fixed certain sub menus missing left border line in right to left mode on IE 8 problem;
12. Enhanced downloader control not to use blank download window for most cases;
