How do I know what bugs have been fixed or what new features were added when a new build is released?

Hi,

The change log is in the update notice we post in the forum. Because we do not post update notice on every build, you will not see the changes for the most recent builds. In that case you will need to wait until the next notice to get a accumulated change log.

Thanks!

Can you put the change log in the zip file itself also? It's good to have the installer and the notice together.

Hi,

No. We currently have no plan to do so due certain details related to our build process. There is also another reason that because we post new builds rather often, so if we were to have separate lists per build, then you will get a big lists of tiny lists instead of a single list with all the information at once place and it will be more difficult for users to navigate. The main fact here is for a given time frame, we usually have more builds than update lists and this is what we intended.

One of the main reasons that you are seeing the update notice lags behind is not because we post the change list less frequently than others, but because we post update builds more frequently than others since we are much more responsive with fixing bugs/implementing new features. Most of the time you only need to update if there is a serious bug in our product that is negatively affecting your project and in that case we will follow up with you once it is fixed. In other cases, most people simply do not care about what new features we have put in last week. They may come back to check once every a couple of months, in those cases they are simply not interested in detailed list between every builds. In addition to that, if you can not find what you are looking for in the posted change list, you can always ask us.

This has worked well for us for years and we have had very few users expressing concern about this. So unless this becomes an issue for a lot of users, we do not intend to make any significant change about this process.

We appreciate your feedback but I believe we have already thoroughly clarified our position on this update notice issue. As such please consider this issue closed.

Thanks!
