Is there any ability to define top and bottom image for a menu item ?
For example there are options for right and left icon (image)

No. There isn't anything like that. You can use these though:
1. Item background image;
2. Use some HTML (such as a table) as menu item text and include images there;

Does menu component differ from a normal item and the last item.
I mean in some designs you need to have a special design for the last item in a sub menu. Is there any special option for this ? or we should go manually?

The menu itself does not treat the last item differently unless you explicitly tell it so. Usually if you want the last item looks differently, you would create a separate look item and then assign the ID of that look item to the LookID property of the last item. Note the same principle applies to any item, not just the last item.
