While using ConvertHtml we are facing some issues, it converts html fine for a while but then stops working. We're using the latest build, 25.2.64 via nuget, this is on a function app (consumption plan) running .net 6.

Restarting the Function App fixes the issue for a short while.
Exception below:

Hi,

This appears to be an issue on our end. We are looking into it and we reply again as soon as we find anything.

Thanks!

Hi,

We did find an issue related to base Url that can cause ConvertHtml to fail and this issue has been fixed in our new 2026 build. However we are still working on a few more issues that can potentially cause ConvertHtml to fail. Without detailed internal log it is impossible for us to verify whether the issue was indeed fixed. We are planing to work out those issues first and then have you switch to the new build and capture logs. If the problem still occurs after that, then we can further narrow it down with logs and go from there.

Thanks!

Hi,

This is just to let you know that we have posted build 26.0.34 that fixed the remaining issues that we have discovered. You can download the new build from our download page. Please take a look and let us know if you still see any issues.

Thanks

Hi,

This maybe caused by insufficient memory. Do you get this error every time consistently or only sometimes? Can you capture the runtime log when this occurs and send us the runtime log? See here for more details on how to capture runtime log:

https://www.essentialobjects.com/doc/common/collect_logs.html

Thanks

Yup you're right it's an out of memory exception:

EO.Base.ChildProcessOutOfMemoryException: One of the child processes used by EO components reported an out of memory error.

It happens everytime. Just checking the monitoring and I can see the usage jumps up to the max for the consumption plan so makes sense it's failing. I've done a quick change to use temporary files instead of stream, but the outcome is the same. Just to note I don't get the memory issues with 25.2.64.

Have you got any suggestions?

Are you using the x86 build? If you use the x86 build (this is a special build that you would have requested from us), you can try to use x64 build (this is the build that's publically available) and see if you still get the problem. If you still get this problem with x64 build, then please try to isolate the problem into a test project and send the test project to us. Once we have that we will see if we can reproduce it here. See here for how to send test project to us:

Nope using the x64 build, I didn't have a x86 build, is it possible to send that over so I can try it.

I've emailed in the test project as well.

Thanks

Thanks for sending the test files. We are able to reproduce the problem. We are looking into it and will reply again as soon as we have an update.
