Hello

I am populating EO Menu/Submenu Items from a typed DataSet ( DataSet1) created in Visual Studio. The Dataset source is a Sequel Database.
EO.Web.Menu Menu1 and Objectdatasource1 objects are on the design page
The Vista Menu template has been selected.

The EO Menu Items has a -Organise section instead of -Format section.
I need the to access the ExpandEffect feature ( in -Format section) to alter Glide Left to Right submenu features.
How can I access this feature ?

Do you have links to complete source code ( VB + script ) for the Menu DataSet Demo ?
These do not seem to be working on the site.

Regards

Hans

Hi,

You need to explicitly tell our menu which data field should be used as menu item text. For more details, you want to go over the documentation about data binding:

http://www.essentialobjects.com/ViewDoc.aspx?t=MenuCommon%2fDataBinding%2fDataBinding_overview.html

We have samples with complete VB source code that demonstrates data binding. Just go to Start -> EO.Web Controls 2007.2 -> EO.Web Controls for ASP.NET 2.0+ -> Live Demos -> Live Demo Source Code and open the demo project, you will see a lot of working samples with source code there.

Thanks

Thanks - The Menu is working fine.

It would be useful to have a specific error message
for incorrect databinding depth values
instead of no response on click event

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback. But our Menu allows you to bind anyway you wanted, so a certain depth value might be wrong in your scenario but correct for others. That's why the Menu doesn't display an error message for that.

Thanks
