I see that right now EO.WebBrowser is based on Chromium 86. It was release almost a year ago. The current Google Chrome/Chromium version is 97. A new Google Chrome/Chromium version is released every 4 weeks and 8 weeks for LTS. Almost in every version they fix some security vulnerabilities.
When do you plan to upgrade Chromium to the latest stable version? I didn't find anything regarding your Chromium upgrade policy. Could you please shed some light?

Hi,
Currently we are working a new release based on Chromium v96 and it is expected to be out in a few weeks.
As you noticed that our last Chromium update was at the begining of 2021 release cycle. As we streamline our update process, we are trying to achieve the goal of updating Chromium at least every 6 month.
Thanks!

When will EO browser get the update to address this vulnerability issue CVE-2022-1096?

Hi,
We will have to wait for Google to publish the detail first. It's common practice that the technical details of the vulnerability is withheld for a period of time to avoid wide exploitation. Once the details are published we can look into it and see if we can back port the fix into our version. If back port is not possible then the fix will be automatically included next time when we refresh Chromium engine. Currently we are planing to update the Chromium engine in the summer, most likely around the July time frame.
Thanks!

Hi,
We are working on a new build that would be based on Chromium V104. This issue would be addressed in that build.
Thanks!
