Hi,
We have an application in a production environment using EO.Total 2019 version 19.0.56, it's used to convert html to a pdf file however since 23-10-2025 the call to convert to pdf started throwing this error: Failed to start image manager.
The eowp.exe file already existed in the same directory as the EO.Base.dll file prior to the date the error started to appear(and was working), and the hosted provider has whitelisted the exe along with the rundll32.exe file. however the error still occurs. (https://www.essentialobjects.com/doc/common/eowp.html). there have been no code updates applied just sever patching.
Are there any know MS updates or any other possible issues that could cause this error?
Regards, Gary

Hi, It is not feasible for us to test each individual built against all the patches on all possible Windows platform. So we do not have the information regarding which patch would cause which problems. The best way for us to troubleshoot these kind of issues is to collect logs and then analyze the logs. Before you collect the logs, please update to the latest build. You do have an active license for the current version. So you can simply upgrade to the latest build and apply the new license key without any extra cost. After that if the problem continues, please follow these steps to collect the runtime logs and send it to us: https://www.essentialobjects.com/doc/common/collect_logs.htmlOnce we have the logs we will look into it and see what we can find. Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for the response, It's now working again. All we did was a server reboot and it started working again.
So I'm still non the wiser as to why it failed.
We have upgraded the product to the latest version. but getting that into production will have to be something we work on.
Regards Gary
