I purchased a license for:EO.Web Menu Developer License (2007.1)
yesterday.

I have downloaded the license file and placed it in the bin folder of my web applicaiton. It did not make the eval message go away.

I then tried to enter the license code generated by the essential objects web site into the global.asax file in the Application_Start event handler. The eval message is still there when i run teh application.

Am I applying the license incorrectly? How can I get this eval message to go away? Please let me know asap. I need to demo this site to a client.

Hi Steve,

Can you paste the exact error message that you are getting? EO.Web Menu Developer License only applies to menu, it does not apply to any other controls.

Thanks

The message is a gray box at the top fo the page and says:
TabStrip_ct100_ContentPlaceHolderMainContent_ControlTAbManager1_TabStrip1 requires a license. You can purchase a license from http://www.essentialobjects.com/Order.aspx. Please refresh the page to continue. More on license.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for posting the message. As the message indicates, you are using a TabStrip. EO.Web Menu Developer License does not cover TabStrip. Menu and TabStrip are two different components and they are sold separately or a part of the whole suite. In order for you to use TabStrip, you would need an additional TabStrip license or upgrade your license to the full suite.

Thanks

Thanks for the information. I thought I had purchased the tabstrip (not the menu). I only needed the tabstrip. I thought that I had selected that option when purchasing yesterday. The descriptions look very similar in the "cart".

Can I change licenses to the tabstrip? I don't need the menu.

What are my options? Can I call someone to discuss?

thanks for your help.
