Hi,
how regularly is the EO.WebBrowser Control updated concerning the recent Chromium version? As we are considering using this control and the current test version of EO.WebBrowser seem to deploy the 70.0.3538.77 Chromium version.

Hi,
We usually update Chromium engine at least once a year around year end. Right now we are in the process of updating the engine from V70 to V77.

If there are urgent bug fixes of the Chromium engine e.g. due to security issues/ vulnerability, would you also offer an update to the Chromium engine even if it is e.g. in April?

Hi,
For those kind of situations we usually back port the patch. In another word, we apply the same patch to our version of the Chromium without having to updating the whole engine. Of course, if the change is too broad and extensive then we could choose to update the whole engine instead.

Is there a page on the site that shows what version of Chromium is packaged into a given version of EO Browser? Also, can your site show tentative dates for new versions of EO Browser and Chromium version that will be package into it?

Hi, For recent releases you can check the Chromium version on our change log page: https://www.essentialobjects.com/ChangeLog.aspxThe version is usually indicated at the bottom of the list (the initial change) for a specific release. Currently we are working on a new release based on Chromium V77 and it is expected to be out later this month or early next month. However we may update to V78 afterwards. Thanks!
